PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY
Dr. Farrah Munir is a pediatric cardiologist who is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care for patients at every stage of life—from fetal diagnosis during pregnancy through adulthood. Dual-trained in both adult and pediatric medicine, she completed her Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Penn State Children's Hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dr. Munir has served as Director of Echocardiography and has extensive expertise in transthoracic and fetal echocardiography. She also has a special interest in preventive cardiology, helping children and adolescents with high cholesterol, obesity, and high blood pressure establish healthy habits that support lifelong heart health. Known for her warm, thoughtful approach, Dr. Munir believes that every patient and family deserves to feel heard, informed, and supported. She takes the time to listen carefully to each family's concerns, perform thorough evaluations, and explain diagnoses and treatment options in a clear, compassionate manner. As her patients grow, Dr. Munir is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition to adult congenital heart specialists when needed, helping young adults continue to receive the specialized care they deserve. She is also a strong advocate for her patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating referrals for advanced procedures or surgery whenever appropriate. Outside the office, Dr. Munir is passionate about global health and humanitarian medicine. She has volunteered on medical missions in numerous countries, providing care to children and adults in underserved communities with limited access to healthcare.
